The tool storage facility was renovated and expanded to ensure optimal preservation and storage of tools and injection molds, as well as greater flexibility.
The renovation and expansion of the tool warehouse was carried out with a view to achieving an optimal combination of robust infrastructure, careful organization, environmental control, and maintenance and inspection routines. Specifically, this means:
- new robust and corrosion-resistant shelving systems – also height-adjustable
- fast and clear labeling process (e.g., barcodes or RFID tags, including digital warehouse management system)
- short transport routes to production
- short transport distances to the maintenance unit
- sufficient maneuvering space for regular inspections and cleaning
- optimized storage in special holders possible to prevent tension or deformation
- specially optimized lifting tools for greater safety
Of course, the new tool warehouse also complies with all relevant safety regulations, such as fire protection and occupational safety, as well as sustainability criteria, such as energy efficiency.
