SKT was originally founded in 1975 under the name Passavant Werke. Even then, the company's purpose was the manufacture of plastic parts and the production of the necessary tools and molds. The company grew continuously. The range of services was successively expanded and thermoset processing was added.
Ralph-Maria Schwind took over the company in the early 2000s. In 2008, he also joined BKT Kunststofftechnik in Sulzbach-Laufen, thus setting the initial course for expansion. Unfortunately, Ralph Schwind passed away far too early in 2014. Sven Scharf and Udo Riek (both BKT Kunststofftechnik) together with the Schwind family took over the legacy as the new owners. Sven Scharf was appointed as the new Managing Director and has been managing the business of SKT ever since. In the years that followed, the company continuously invested in new machines and systems, renovated the company building and built new warehouses.
SKT today
Today, SKT employs over 40 people and continues to grow. With 50 years of experience in the field of plastic injection molding, SKT has many years of in-depth expertise and the highest level of technical competence.
The range of services focuses on the efficient production of plastic injection molded parts. Adjacent service modules, such as the design of components, CAD/CAM, engineering, toolmaking, mold construction, electrode construction, etc., are taken over by the partner company BKT Kunststottechnik if required. This allows SKT to focus on its pure core competencies, the economically efficient production of plastic parts, finishing and component assembly.
